‘Fess up! Are you a person who writes in their Bible?
Last night I attended a Bible study and as I was looking up various Scriptures, I spotted precious notes, timely reminders, and personal pleas that I’ve written in the margins through the years.
And I was reminded, yet again, of how faithful God is in answering prayer. One big prayer especially—which I listed last below.

I loved running across the note about how Mom glorified God in her death. And she did. By her trusting attitude, her continued faith in Jesus, and in how well she loved her family to the very last. I can hardly believe that August 17 will mark ten years since she went Home. Oh, how I miss her. But I’ll see her again one day [and I still talk to her often. : ) ].
And oh that note on comparing ourselves to others! Do you struggle with that? Me? SO GUILTY! “Just follow Jesus, Tammy. Just follow Jesus!”

Oh what a great truth (and reminder) this is. Especially when life (and quite often my own sinfulness) gives me a really good look at who I am without Christ. #therespowerinHisblood #workinprogress

This is a constant prayer of mine. For understanding—and wisdom.

Oh, don’t you love these verses! There’s never been a time—even in your mother’s womb—when God didn’t love you. When he wasn’t pursuing you. When he wasn’t your God.

I’m big on dating the notes in my Bible, are you? It helps me remember when I was walking through certain seasons. Plus it reminds me of God’s continual faithfulness through the passing years.

I’ve got notes for other people in my Bible, too. Judy Miller once shared her “word of comfort” Scripture with me, and I made note of it. So every time I see this now, I think of (and pray for) her.

Here’s another one of those “word of comfort” Scriptures that Patti Jo Moore shared with me. ; ) I love the note about her Mom’s Crisco pie crust, too!
And lastly, the prayer I prayed for years. A prayer that God put on my heart back on April 5, 2010. He planted the dream of my going to Israel. Of walking where Jesus walked. And that happened this year! Hence, the note in the righthand margin. Thank you, Lord! What a blessing that trip was. : )

What notes and reminders and prayers do you have in your Bible? Is yours all marked up like mine? The binding is slowing coming apart again, which I plan to have fixed this summer. But this specific copy of God’s Word holds the past 15 years or so of my walk with Him. It’s a treasure, for sure.
Is there one specific note in your Bible that’s caught your eye recently? Share it, if you would. And if you love coffee and frothy things, be sure to check out my June giveaway below.
Blessings, friends,
Tammy

This pic is from last night. I adore these puppies and their energy and unconditional love and playfulness and stamina and excitement at anything that moves! But I also really love it when they’re recharging. I mean . . . sleeping. : )
