"May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord." —2 Peter 1:2 (NLT)
In that same letter, Peter closes with a similar exhortation: "...you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
For years, I asked the Lord to increase my hunger and desire for him—for his Word—and, in his faithfulness, he did. Studying the Word of God is one of the greatest joys of my life, and over the past two decades, I've grown closer to him through the teaching of Bible scholars and theologians who study Scripture through its original Middle Eastern lens rather than a Western mindset. That "adjusted focus" has blessed me immeasurably and opened up the Bible in a fresh, new way.
It's my hope that the resources on this page will bless you, and that you, too, will grow in the grace and knowledge of God and Jesus Christ—right along with me.
And as always, if you only have time to read one book today, make it his. Because his Word never returns void. As the LORD says in Isaiah 55:11 (NLT)—"It is the same with my word, I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."
Resources that provide deeper understanding of the social and cultural landscape of Biblical times—shedding greater light on Scripture when reading it through a Middle Eastern lens
