Her novels, set primarily in and around Nashville, Tennessee, and the Colorado frontier, have captivated readers worldwide. Many are inspired by historic places such as Carnton, Belle Meade, Belmont Mansion, and Lynchburg, Tennessee. Her books have been translated into multiple languages.
Alexander has been published by Bethany House Publishers, Zondervan/Thomas Nelson, Focus on the Family, and Tyndale House Publishers. Her latest novel, In These Hills, releases September 8, 2026, from Tyndale House Publishers and is inspired by the real history of Jack Daniel's Distillery and Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
While being Gram Tam is her current favorite role, she'll never turn down a stroll through an old cemetery or browsing antique shops. Tamera and her husband live in Nashville, Tennessee, and treasure time spent with their grown children and grandchildren.
Tamera views her writing as a way to grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ, and her deepest desire is that those who read her novels will take steps closer to Him as well.

Releasing September 8, 2026 · Tyndale House Publishers
“The captivating latest from Alexander finds a young woman fighting for her beliefs in the early 20th century South... Josephine's moral quandaries are sketched with nuance as she works to carve out a future in a chaotic, hostile world. Alexander's fans will be well pleased.”
