I recently received copies of the German edition of To Win Her Favor (roughly translated Who is Struggling to Love) from Francke, my wonderful German publisher, and seeing this book brought back so many great memories of the trip Lynn Austin, Elizabeth Musser, my daughter Kelsey, and I took to Germany in June 2014.
Here are a few glimpses:

Pictured on the far right is Anne-Ruth Meiss, the publisher at Francke (big hugs to you, Ruth, and please try to keep Sven under control!)
I promise you, every time we’d stop somewhere, Lynn would scout out the ice cream. She has a radar for dairy, that woman. And of course, we tried to discourage her. Well, sort of…
Lynn with Christian Heinritz,
the Art Director (and so much more!) at Francke (watch out for those “vash-bears,” Christian!)
And of course, what would a trip to Europe be without pictures of their gorgeous doors…
Love, love, love!
Each one tells a story, don’t you think?
And finally, a very candid photo taken of one of our most ardent German admirers as we were speaking one evening…
Bless him, I think he’d had enough! And in all fairness, he was in charge of the audio. But I’m not sure whether that makes this better or worse. LOL!
Thanks for letting me share some memories of our trip. And thank you, Francke, for hosting us!
Traveling through Germany on the 10-day book tour with Lynn, Elizabeth, Kelsey, Kathrin, Anne-Ruth, Christian, and all the wonderful reader friends we met along the way was an honor and a blessing I’ll carry with me into eternity. Truly. (Much like that ice cream that I’m still carrying around, Lynn. LOL)
What’s a special trip or “getaway” that lives in your memory? Please share. And do tell us your “partners in crime” who traveled with you!
Grateful we’re on this journey together,
Tammy
