This is what I’ve been reading, along with the first sentence in each book. I just LOVE reading first sentences, do you?
Me Before You
by JoJo Moyes
First sentence:
“There are 158 footsteps between the bus stop and home, but it can stretch to 180 if you aren’t in a hurry.”
I just finished this Sunday night. This was my first of JoJo’s books, but it will by no means be my last. I loved it and now can’t wait to see the major motion picture that’s coming in June.
Have you seen the trailer yet?
A quirky, smart, heartbreakingly rich love story.

Christy
by Catherine Marshall
on AUDIOBOOK
Listen to sample of Christy
Read by Kellie Martin (who played Christy in the TV series)
First sentence:
“Only my father saw me to the Asheville station that Sunday morning in 1912.”
I’ve read Christy, of course, years and years ago. But I saw the title as I was browsing Audible.com recently and decided to revisit this dear old friend. So glad I did!

As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of the Princess Bride
by Cary Elwes, Joe Layden, Rob Reiner
Listen to a sample of As You Wish
Read by Cary Elwes who played Wesley in the movie (sooo good!)
First sentence:
“The note simply read: Important.”
In a word: delightful! The Princess Bride has long been a family favorite, so listening to these behind-the-scenes stories is fabulous!
So what have you been reading?
Do we have any titles in common?
Blessings from Nashville,
Tammy
