Thirty-plus Inspy authors descended upon Dallas last week attending the 2015 Romantic Times Booklovers Convention. What is the RT Convention, you ask?
The RT Convention is a massive conference dedicated to romance readers of all genres. It’s largely a secular conference, meaning that the majority of authors in attendance write secular romance across a variety of genres, including new adult and erotica.
I’m already hearing the question forming in some of your minds… Why are Inspy authors attending a secular conference?
Quite simply, because romance readers who read and enjoy secular writers (as I do) also read and love inspirational writers. And we love them, in return. And since spending time with readers is always a blast, RT is a fabulous space for writers to be.

Bethany House and Revell Publishers hosted a delectable chocolate fountain event where the authors each signed 100 books for readers while they enjoyed these scrumptious delights.
This is the third year Inspy authors have attended RT and, in short, we had an absolute blast! We played Pictionary at an author-sponsored event for readers complete with lots of chocolate and, of course, surprise dance offs! Let me tell you, some of your favorite inspy writers have some really great moves (LOL).

This was just one of the gifts Inspy authors gave to readers at the conference, along with Kindle Fires, gift certificates, and more. #FunTimes

Next year the RT Convention is in Las Vegas (April 12-17, 2016) and if you live nearby, I hope you’ll consider attending. I promise it will be an experience you won’t soon forget. But mostly, it will be an amazing opportunity to share the hope we have in Christ through the stories we read and write.
So tell me…
